After plugging the first hole it was difficult to maneuver the other crates into into tank. The section about plugging the tank was less confusing, I didn’t realize I could kill the gargantua at first so it felt impossible. I still think these are great elements but they might need a bit more visual cues to feel at home among HLs many other puzzles. The part about placing the sub down also confused me for a while. After I realized that I had to place the crate the rest was fairly easy to figure out.

As cool as that part is I think it needs a bit more hand holding to figure out the puzzle. I would never have guessed where I was supposed to put that first crate even tho the mapper tried to highlight it. I knew the robot was pilotable but I didn’t realize to what extent.

The only negative things I have to say are that some of the puzzles felt a bit convoluted, namely the robot section and the part where you plug up the tank to overflow it. Very creative ideas especially the submarine bit. The puzzles were great, moat of them anyway. I’ve actually never finished the Uplink demo before so it was nice to have that content put into the main story. HL1 has felt stake to me because I’ve played it so many times but this mod adds a substantial amount of new content in the form of new maps that fit very well among the original maps. I’ve needed a good reason to replay the original and this got me to do just that. This mod is amazing! The fact that it can be played with the original campaign is great.
